Purchasing a House of Steward Ragdoll Kitten
Our kitten pet prices start at $1350.00 which includes altering fee and vaccinations. We require a $200.00 deposit to reserve a kitten. The deposit is non-refundable but is deducted from the total cost. The remaining cost of the kitten, plus sales tax on total, will be made at the time they are to be released to their new homes or is due 3 weeks before shipping. Please contact me if you are interested in a show or breeder quality kitten.
We offer a $50 discount if you pick up your kitten. If you will require shipping for your kitten please see our Shipping Details. Shipping costs are extra and will be added to your final payment.
DEPOSITS FOR A RAGDOLL KITTEN
Our kittens are reserved quickly and we normally have a waiting list
for future kittens. No kitten will be held without a deposit being
received by House of Steward Ragdolls. The choice of a kitten is
according to time deposit was made; i.e.. first to make deposit gets
first choice of a kitten. If we do not have a kitten of your liking
you may transfer it to a kitten out of the next upcoming litter.
If you would like to place a deposit, please
Deposits are nonrefundable. In the event the Buyer changes their mind for any reason, and/or become unable to purchase the kitten or fails to pay remainder owed on pick up date, the deposit is forfeited. The only exception is if we feel the kitten is not healthy enough or death occurs to reserved kitten. No kitten will leave the cattery unless paid in full.
This kitten costs THAT much?????
Yes, Ragdolls are expensive to buy and they are increasing in price because of the rising veterinarian costs, and everything it takes to raise cats. Contrary to popular opinion, reputable Pedigree Cat breeders are not in it for the money. They do it because cats bring joy to them. There are those who breed cats similar to breeding puppies in a puppy mill, they are in it for the money. The cats are constantly kept in cages and many times are not given adequate health care and nurturing. The cost may be less expensive but you may also receive an unhealthy kitten which has not been socialized.
Consider the cost of breeding cats. Breeder cats will cost anywhere from approximately $1600 up to $5000 for one breeder cat. If you are going to breed you need to either purchase 2 cats or pay for stud service. After purchasing breeder cats you always run the risk of one dying, not being able to conceive, or losing kittens.
Competent breeders do everything they can to ensure their cats are healthy. This means regular veterinarian check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, monthly de-wormers and flea control, and not just any cat food will do. In order to keep cats healthy, you also need lots of cat litter, scooped at least once a day, and keep surrounding areas clean so this means added cleaning supplies. Add to this cat trees, toys, carriers, and other necessary items to keep your cats active and stress-free as possible. Other costs include yearly registrations with TICA, CFA, RFCI, RI, membership fees in clubs, internet fees for our website, and a host of incidentals. As expenses rise, so will the price of our Ragdolls. It is the only way we can guarantee you will receive a healthy Ragdoll kitten. So, yes, Ragdoll cats are expensive to buy. Here are a few links which further explain why the price of buying Ragdoll cats can be expensive.

The Loveable Ragdoll Cat
Puppycat, floppycat, fluffycat, noodlecat, or whichever term one wishes to use, all describe the magnificent Ragdoll cat. We have had cats all our lives, but none has weaseled its way deep into our hearts like the Ragdoll. Although the second largest domestic cat, the Ragdoll is gentle, quiet, and generally does very well with children and other pets. Female Ragdolls average 10 to 15 pounds and males, 15 to 20. Some neutered males have topped the scale at 30 pounds, but Ragdoll's full weight doesn't arrive until they are approximately 4 years old. Ragdolls adorn themselves with fur, which is as soft as silk and rarely mats. The traditional Ragdoll Cat elegantly covers itself in the colors of Seal, Blue, Flame, Chocolate, and Lilac. Lilac is the rarest color. House of Steward Ragdolls is fortunate to be able to offer kittens in all the beautiful coat colors.
A Ragdoll cat acts more like a puppy who greets you at the door when returning home, much unlike other cat breeds which have rightfully earned the tag 'independent' or 'standoffish.' They received the name 'Ragdoll' because they often go limp, or flop, like the doll when picked up or sleep in a very relaxed position on their backs with all the fluff surrounding them as if they were surrounded by a halo. If you should decide to purchase a purebred cat, you will not be disappointed in a Ragdoll.
All of our breeders are DNA tested and double negative for HCM and PKD.

The health and socialization of our Ragdoll Kittens are our highest priority. All our Ragdoll cats are born and nurtured in our private home as part of our family where they receive love and attention from us and our visitors. We do not use cages in our home and our cats have daily interaction with us and are free to roam the house. Our two priorities will provide you with healthy and well socialized Ragdoll Kittens. Our purpose is to share Ragdoll kittens with others that they, too, will have the enjoyment we have experienced with this magnificent breed. If you would like to be notified when we have kittens, please contact us.
